The exciting new Hulu series, Devil in the White City will be an adaptation of architect Erick Larson’s best-selling book. The show is set to star Keanu Reeves as well with more cast members being announced soon!

The best-selling book Devil in the White City by Erick Larson will reportedly be adapted, and now it’s truly happening. In the Devil in the White City adaptation that Hulu unveiled at TCA, Keanu Reeves is most likely to portray the ebullient architect Daniel H. Burnham. In addition to Rick Yorn, Jennifer Davisson, Stacey Sher, Todd Field, Mark Lafferty, Sam Shaw, and Keanu Reeves serving as executive producers, the show will be directed and written by Castle Rock’s Sam Shaw.
DiCaprio’s passion project has been in development for over ten years, originally intended as a feature-length movie under Paramount. But between 2015 and 2019 it started taking the form of a serialized series on Hulu which then led to them deciding that this was something they wanted more exclusive – so now we’re here!
As Daniel H. Burnham, a demanding visionary architect, sets out to make history at the Chicago World’s Fair, Dr. H. H. Holmes, America’s first modern serial killer and the mastermind of the infamous “Murder Castle,” lurks in the shadows of the World’s Columbian Exposition in 1893 Chicago.
The John Wick and Matrix actor has previously found himself at the drafting table, though it is unclear if he will play Burnham or legendary serial killer Holmes. His ability as an architect makes him perfect for either role due to Sandra Bullock’s abilities in The Lake House–a love story between two strangers who meet under questionable circumstances but fall deeply imprinted on each other’s hearts
It was recently announced that Shaw will serve as showrunner for Devil in the White City, with Todd Field chosen to direct. Despite the fact that he appears to be directing the entire series, it was previously reported that he would only be filming the first two episodes. The series is based on legendary haunted architect designs and has been met by rave reviews from critics who say it’s one of Hulu’s most promising new shows yet! Alongside these announcements comes news about another exciting development– Stephen King himself approved this project which means you can bet your bottom dollar there are some spooky moments ahead when filming begins later this year
