Dan Kwan and Daniel Scheinert’s fantasy family martial arts movie, Everything Everywhere All At Once, is the highest-grossing movie domestically and has now overtaken the Ari Aster’s Hereditary.
The movie was released in March, and it’s now its theater running time is far from over, yet still, The film is bringing money in.
The film overcrossing the Hereditary from $80.9M to $80.2M per deadline.
The film initially grossed an amount was $500000 even with its limited release in NYC, LA, and San Francisco. The budget was readjusted when the movie proved to be a big hit, and they expanded it to 2200 screens across the US.
The movie stayed on top for weeks, and when word of mouth hit, it began to be praised by millions of people.
The box office earnings will now again see a spike as the film is all set to be released in the leading countries, including France, Latin America, Italy, and Japan. The tentative figures for the fan-favorite movie are $70M even after being released on VOD on June 7. The film is still running over 1000 cinemas in North America.
The story is about a Chinese woman, Evelyn Quan Wang, who is facing laundromat issues with his husband, which the IRS audited. She discovers the possibility of multiple parallel universes where each choice can create a different new universe. The film is directed by Dan Kwan and Daniel Scheinert have proved to be highly liked movies among their other great hits, ‘The Tragedy of Macbeth and Best Picture-winner Moonlight.’
